    Boost specified vs actual data log overboost

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    This is my first data log.
    I’d like to eventually tweak and tune the car with nefmoto.
    I guess right now just learning g the ropes… how does this log look? My tune is a stage 1 nefmoto so boost should be 14.7. Highest psi is 16.9. image-2023-05-21-10:10:03-504.jpg

    Also,
    I noticed on a couple pulls the car seems to choke or hesitate at higher rpm’s.
    Only mods are darintake, piggie pipes.
    I’m also at 5,500 feet

    Are you logging using me7logger? Does not look like it. Dont plot out in excel lmao.

    Post the full log when you make one. Log the PID variables and everything.

    Vcds samples quite slowly for tuning log purposes. A good tool for looking at codes, but that’s about it.

    This is an already “tuned” ecu, or naked?

    You’ll want to log with ME7 logger

    log the same parameters just with me7logger? Anything else I should add n75?
    I’m confused.. the data from Vcds is completely useless?

    I am definitely over boosting by ~2 psi, according to the boost gauge. Is this something that’s not that big deal?

    I wouldn’t go by anything but a proper data log, not a boost gauge

    Log with me7logger, else I cant help you, and im putting this midlly here :)

    You cannot request more than 23 PSI on the stock ecu without some code modifications, so no dont replace your gauge. Need a proper tune . It has a hard limit at 2560 milibar (22.5psi). Still most tuners ignore this or CBA to fix the PID for boost control (which you wont have anyway if you ride the limit)... shame

    I’ve got me7logger installed.
    I have a nefmoto tune flashed onto the ecu already. Creating a template with me7logger do I use the factory stock .bin file or do I use the nefmoto tune bin ?

    YES- use the factory .bin file
    FYI-
    BE SURE the following data is correct in your ECU file
    EXAMPLE:
    HWNumber = 0261207928 (requested was 0261207928)
    SWNumber = 1037366497 (requested was 1037366497)
    PartNumber = 4B0906018DH (requested was 4B0906018DH)
    SWVersion = 0004 (requested was 0004)
    EngineId = 1.8L R4/5VT (requested was 1.8L R4/5VT)

    If any of the above is incorrect the LOGGER will give an error message
    noting what it was looking for and what it found and then stop w/o running.
    Edit your ECU file with WORDPAD to make corrections or comment-out the information using ";"---this will by-pass the info scan.

    For data analysis- Use post processor ECUxPlot on newly created file in
    LOG directory
    NOTE--ECUxPlot requires an old version of JAVA ( This may have changed)
