Car transport recommendations

Hi all,

I recently picked up another S4 from texas and want to ship it to my home in south florida. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Every time I do this its a nightmare and would love to hear if any of you have had a good experience with any shippers.

I just had mine shipped from San Francisco to Atlanta, I used Montaway transport. They were pretty well recommended and reviewed as a large nationwide transporter. They do not ship the vehicles themselves but merely a middle man to contract it out. I paid about $1200 to ship to Atlanta included insurance as well. You can find cheaper rates if you go to different sites that actually let shippers bid for your contract but I didn’t want to deal with all that to save a couple hundred bucks.

Appreciate that, I tried using one of those sites and now I have about 60+ emails from shippers messaging me.

Oddly enough it looks like most of these are brokers who just source out to trucks. Getting in contact with an actual shipper seems like a tough task

Yeah same thing happened to me with the flood of emails. I’d just go with one of the well known brokers like Montaway, they include insurance in their price.

I can tell you it's way cheaper to work with the brokers than the actual truck drivers, because the truck drivers will bid on the job and then the broker will add $100 or so for them, if you talk directly with the truck drivers they don't feel that they are bidding for it, so they will charge you a lot more.
