    That ring land must have been bad from the get go, that thing needs to be pulled and I think the only thing that saved it so far is the rings. I see no indication of the valve contacting the piston.

    Just need a new (or used) piston, hone the cylinder and get new rings. Check the bushing on the rod piston end and new rod bolts...there's something I'm forgetting....

    Maybe broken valve stem end? you can see if you take the valves out.

    What triggered you to do the stem seals? If i look at the piston there is no excessive oil consumption?

    Need advice - 1 piston slightly damaged

    I would replace the piston as it may come further apart. The lower compression is most likely from a valve or two in that chamber leaking at the seat since there is high probability of a valve closing on whatever the object was and trapping it on the seat leaving a indent. We have a great rebuild program if you need help.

    Spunds good. I have like 100+ used stock pistons in a bin that we can match a weight and OD on if you need.
