Unitronic Intake - squeal noise

Just installed the Unitronic Intake on my RS6. Experiencing a high squeal noise upon partial throttle ( say 25-45mph) or when I let off the gas. Does not happen when mashing the pedal to the floor.

Everything seems to be on correct and tight. With the windows down, it’s really annoying. Almost like a slight feedback from a microphone….

Im being told it’s the turbos. Not sure I believe it.

The intake has the updated turbo inlets.

Car also has the unitronic down pipes.

My car does this with the Eventuri intake system. I thought it was the o-rings on the pcv tubes, I bought a pair from the dealer as the 0-rings were not sold separately, this did not resolve the issue.

Did you install it yourself ? It comes with o-rings that may be wrong

I don't have one yet but I am curious. I put the 034 drop in filter in, and there is definitely a noise I just assumed were the turbos.

I didn't want to edit my post, But would like to add to it. When I bought the PCV valve tubes ( just for the O-rings) I also bought new inlet pipe to turbo gaskets, "just in case. All of the gaskets came from the Audi dealer.

I had similar with the Eventuri. I asked them (Eventuri) about it and they said that with the clearer air way you hear the turbo “start to spool up”. Which after checking, listening etc makes sense for what I’m hearing. It’s a slight squeal that is consistent with a lightly spinning turbo with no boost, low speed, light throttle etc. the noise disappears (or is overwhelmed by all the other noises) once you plant it …

Hope that helps. It “annoyed/disappointed” at Day 1 as the dealer installed the intake for me. I’ve now had mine for nearly 4 months and I’m totally “not noticing” or if I do happen to notice then I’m just thinking that I’ll need to fully wake up the turbos some more …

Thanks for getting back to me on this! This is the exact same response I got from the shop who installed the intake. Guess I’ll have to deal but it’s quite annoying tbh. I’ll make the exhaust louder 😂
