2021 RS5 Sportback. Two weeks ago or so, lost power while driving home. No boost, no codes no warnings. Next day the car threw a drive system malfunction alert at me. Startup was also rough next day. Idling funny, shaky, etc. I’m 034 stage 1, so I took the car to the independent shop I use for service, didn’t want to get flagged. Passed all tests they threw at it. They had a theory of a bad intercooler pipe. They didn’t think with 26k miles a turbo would be bad, but said it’s a possibility. Ordered a new intercooler pipe, put it on and issue still there. So they then inspected the turbos and found the left turbo seized up. I flashed the car stock before taking it to them two weeks ago, in preparation for a potential dealer visit. I just put the tune on the car and it wasn’t on for a full month. Three weeks maybe. I have an appointment at the dealer on the 18th, going to see what happens. See if they’ll cover it with warranty or if they deny me. Has anyone on here with a b9/9.5 RS5 ever had a turbo blow? 26k miles seems extremely low for a turbo issue to me. Trying to see if there are others.
