Exclamation Fitting wheels with a different hub size ?!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
This one is tricky, I really need help! If all fails, I will buy wheels, but I'm here to try.

    My car: Audi A4 b8.5

The wheels I bought are VMR 706 and it has a hub of 57.1 but my cars hub is 66.6
    The tires are 255/35. The wheels are 19 x 8.5 with a +35 offset.
However if I get these spacers/adapters to fit 57.1 wheels on my 66.6 car hub, I will need
possibly 10mm - 13 mm spacers. which means my new offset will be +22 to +25 offset which
is extremely aggressive on an A4, however I am on stock ride height. Does anyone know how long the lip is on the actual car on the front and rear axle
so i can determine what size spacers I will need? I want to do thinnest spacers possible, but I still need to clear the hub lip on the car.
This is a complicated situation, but I think we can make it work...

I found a solution which is custom adaptors.
I am thinking about buying hubcentric adapters with the following specs:
    Studs: 14 x 1.5
    Vehicle Bore 5x112
    Wheel Bore 5x112
    Veh Center Bore 66.5
    Wheel Center Bore 57.1
    Aluminium
    Hub&Wheel Centric.

MAIN CONCERN: What is the size of Audi A4 B8.5 Lip on the hub ? I would love to purchase the thinnest spacers (5mm) but I'm afraid
it will not clear the lip on the hub on our vehicle. I can't seem to find any info online. Is this even a good idea? If this doesn't work I'll just bore
the wheels to 66.6 .. but i want to try these adaptors first.

I've heard of hub centric spacers to fit wheels with bigger bore size but not smaller. I would reach out to the people at fitment industries, they're very helpful and knowledgeable so they may be able to offer a solution. They helped me with finding the right tire size for my setup.

Thanks for your response, my situation is unusual because I am indeed fitting hub centric spacers to fit wheels with smaller bore size on a bigger bore on the A4. But this website will make the custom adapters for me, I just need to know what minimum size spacers I will need to clear the existing hub lip on my A4..
In case anyone is curious this is the link to the guys who make the adapters. https://www.motorsport-tech.com/contact.html

Also if I purchase spacers around 10mm - 13mm (I'm guessing these are the spacers I will need to clear my existing hubs for now) on my +35 offset VMR wheels that means my predicted offset should be around +22 to +25
is that insane poke on stock height A4 b8.5 or will it look okay. tires are also 255/35 lol.

Just a thought and I dunno if you can do it but maybe you can get the wheels machined to the correct size instead of running spacers.

I am thinking about getting the hub machined as well from 57.1 to 66.6 on the wheel hub to match the cars 66.6 hub. My only concern is I'm not sure if theres enough headroom to machine the wheels because the hub is already close to the lug holes... My best bet are these adapters and if those wont work I'm thinking about getting them bored.

I'm sure the application was common when Audi first switched to 66.5 with the release of the B8.

    20mm spacer in that case.
If we look at H&R Trak+ adapter for this purpose, they come in 22mm, 25mm, and 30mm.
I feel like I've answered this before, but not in the mood to go jack up the car and take a wheel off right now.

20mm spacers with the VMR 706 might make me have roller skate fitment lol (+35 offset - 20mm Spacers) = +15 offset. I'm hoping I can fit 10mm or thinner spacers which will make the offset at +25. I think +25 is the lowest offset my car can handle aesthetically. The tires are also huge which is +255/35 on the 19 x 8.5 wheels. If anyone knows the size of the hub LIP on the A4 b8.5 that would be amazing.
Keep in mind I plan on keeping my stock ride height.
I hope to find the solution and hope that this thread will help more people alike.

Okay so i just placed a custom order with motortech and they have made the spacers I want in my configurations and since they've worked on our cars alot before they recommended me all the right specs including custom lugs.
Great customer service. Costed $269 after shipping for 4 Hubcentric Adapters and 20 lug nuts (14x1.5 40mm)

    My fitment will be 19 x 8.5 +20ET with Continentals 255/35 .
I'm on stock ride height at the moment, I will post a picture with the wheels around next week when these arrive.
