Is there any reason the front seatbacks in the 4L need to come off?

Aside from airbag replacement, I mean.

The adhesive on both of mine has failed. Before I stick them back together, I figured I'd try to get an idea of just how permanent of a bond I should aim for. I don't want to go too permanent if these things might need to come off on purpose in the future.

Sadly this is an issue across many Audi platforms…

I wasn’t sure on mine either.
I decided to try some “peel-n-seal” winterization caulk to glue mine back on.
It peels off windows pretty easy in the summer and so far a year later in a black on black Q7 (f-ing HOT!!) they are still stuck.

Awesome. I'll give this a shot. Thanks!
