    Check engine light on P0222

Driving back home today, EPC light, check engine light came on and car went into limp mode basically. I checked the P3 gauge and it came back with P0222 engine code. I cleared it but the EPC light is still on and the car is still in limp mode. I've had the IABED throttle body for about 2-3 years now with no issues and with the EPL tune for it.
I haven't seen too many people with this issue and from what I found, its an angle throttle positioning sensor. Is that in the throttle body? is there a part number?

Unplug the throttle body for about 30 seconds, make sure the plug is clean, etc and plug it back in. Clear all codes and do a throttle body adaptation on it. Start the car after that and see what you get.

You’ll need VCDS for this… not sure if that’s what you used or something else and if something else, not sure that program can do a throttle body adaptation.

If that doesn’t work and it’s still happening and connections look fine, it may just be a bad TB or sensor in it. I think the whole thing may need to be replaced.

Oh and check the wiring on the converter jumper for the TB. I think it comes with one… it’s on an area that gets hot from the passenger side CAT… maybe it’s melted some wires.

All the wiring checked out, I put the stock tb back on and it’s running like new. I don’t think I had to adapt the tb to the computer since I had a tune for the tb from epl. My guess it’s the sensor inside the tb went bad 🤷🏽*♂️I haven’t seen too many post about it going bad

I didn’t say to run the TB adaptation to adapt the ECU to it. You were to run it to see if the upgraded one passes all the tests which are part of the adaptation process too. That would have told you if it’s bad. Irregardless, swapping it out for the stock one has give you the answer too.
