    OBD11 vs. VCDS

What are your thoughts? I currently have a VCDS with 1 or 2 cars remaining on it. It's been used on a B8 and a B9. With a C8 Allroad, I believe I'm going to need a new cable, is that the case? If so, I'm tossing around the idea of going with the OBD11 instead for my C8.

Let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks!

How much logging will you do? If a lot, you may wish to get the cable for the VCDS. Does VCDS have a subscription model? I am fortunate that I purchased my standalone OBD11 before they moved to a subscription model. If VCDS does not use a subscription model, that is another reason to go with it.

Beautiful Nogaro Avant in your avatar! Do you miss it?

I don't see myself doing much logging at all. It's more for stuff like coding modules, releasing the parking brake to do pads, stuff like that.

I do miss the car, it was fun. I don't miss the inevitable fear of the timing guides breaking.
