I may not have the correct part number. I'm looking for the coolant hose that goes from the metal fitting on the crossover pipe between the heads (on back of motor) to the T fitting at the coolant reservoir. Thanks RMode.

I just installed the do88 silicone hose kit. It is 100% complete and the hose angles fit OEM like. If you install silicone hoses use the wider band clamps for silicone.

AliExpress and do88 look the same from pictures.

What really needs to be asked is ; are the heater core hoses available in Germany. Doubtful.

But this will do for now.

Thanks guys- I’m not looking to replace all of the coolant hoses as I’ve already sourced OEM replacements for most of them. It’s surprising to me that the hose I’m talking about ( 1/4” ish from crossover pipe behind heads to t on the reservoir hose from upper radiator) is NLA from Audi. Seems like one of the hoses prone to failure. I guess they all are though at this point.

I’m in the same situation. I have found a lot more obscure hoses than this one.

Same here. I've basically bough all OEM coolant hose but I am looking for the complete T section hose. Wish Do88 would sell just that hose.

Which one exactly? The upper rad hose?

The problem with silicone for coolant is often, you experience some loss due to evaporation. This is why the OEM’s all do rubber. For a Motorsport application, absolutely. Fitment can also be a challenge depending on the brand, as trimming etc is often needed. I’ve experienced it first hands on all sorts of cars - audi and otherwise.

I believe THETuner does them. It’s a dead # for Audi as far as I know, worldwide

Would be a nice thing to do an all metal core with braided hose and dry break quick disconnects…..hmmm….the gears are turning :)

Any specific examples of clamps that would work well on silicone? My primary concern that silicone is so slippery. I was thinking turbosmart, like these https://www.amazon.com/Turbosmart-TS.../dp/B004PPX3D2

I have these throughout my car now. But their sizing, due to the inner/outer coupler design of the clamp, starts at 1.12inches, fully closed

    The clamps are by Murray:

But the Turbosmart ones are ultimately easier to source.

I used Gates Silicone clamps from Rock Auto over 1/2 wide and smooth inside.

I should clarify that the clamps used were a combination of single ear wider band and the Gates Silicone

For the cooling couplers, I saw some metal ones 'Aluminum quick connects' mentioned in the C5 section at post 550 of https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...-Street/page14 with the pictures of the couplings being shown below. I'm not sure where they were ordered from, but just wanted to mention them. - Jim

I got some of those from Amazon for about $7 a piece. But after reading more on them I decided to not use them because multiple people complained about them leaking. I ended up get new oem ones for not much more and no leaks
