    Keyless Entry Not Working

    Hello,
My keyless entry stopped working a few months ago. I have read that many experience this with obviously a low key fob (replaced, issue still there) and also a low car battery. My car battery was 8 years old and the original so I decided it was a good time to replace before it left me stranded but neither of these fixed my issue. I decided to purchase OBDEleven and found some fault codes. Interior door handle touch sensor Code 00193 and Key 2 Code 00956. I believe the key code may be old and due to a bad battery. I cleared the codes and my keyless entry started working like normal again! but....only for a day or two. I believe the code was for right rear door but my screen shot doesnt show it. Does this indicate a bad sensor? Does this indicate a bad seal where it could be shorting and turning itself off as we have had heavy rain this week. if a sensor, are amazon sensors any good or should I cough up the change for OEM?

Could be whatever with the door sensor. They all seem to go bad eventually. You could unplug it and see if the plug connection appears to have corrosion. In my case, it's just always been the sensor has trashed. I don't buy OE sensors, $20 knock offs seem to work just fine.

I had the same thing happen. Keyless didn’t work and obd11 only gave me the code for one door sensor. Turns out multiple were bad so I’d recommend just replacing them all.
