Steering wheel buttons not working after leaving sunroof open in rain

So my buttons on the right side of the steering wheel...some dont work now. Most do, except for the heated steering wheel and next track buttons. Any idea if I could fix this or is it just toast and needs to be replaced?

Try hitting it with a hair dryer to get all the moisture out?

Spraying some electrical contact cleaner around all the buttons might help as well.

I'd dismount the airbag and get a better visual in there, see if moisture still around. Maybe dismount the controls and see what can be seen, etc.

I would highly recommend having the airbag removed and the contacts inspected as well as the whole area. If it got wet enough to cause the controls to stop working it was significant. It's encouraging that you did not get an SRS fault but the moisture may still cause corrosion issues down the road. It's a long standing discussion which is worse to have an accident and the bag not deploy or to just be driving down the road and have it deploy in your face. Personally I never want to have a first hand experience with either.....

This is good advice. Better safe than sorry.
