DS! map switching for TTRS - can you toggle from E85 to 91 to 93 without reflashing?

Just curious on a DS1 if the map switching allows you to toggle between E85, 91 and 93 octane via map switching, or if you have to reflash the car each time you want to change fuel types (ie winter 93, E85 in summer etc). Thanks in advance!

DS1 offers flex fuel capabilities, as long as you have an ethanol analyzer and a compatible tune, you should be fine.

I'm asking though, can I swap from 91/93 to E85 maps without a reflash or no.

Yeah, as long as it stays plugged in, it'll automatically adjust without needing manual intervention.
The best place for DS1 info is probably the FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/233435491217084
You can search your question and there's probably someone that has asked it in the past.

Semi-related question for you - does the DS1 support the 2022 TTRS ECU now? It was unsupported when I reached out to them in January.

Yes. The maps are all there and available to swap between without having to go through the entire flash process. This is simply called map switching, instead of reflashing.

Every map is flex fuel, there is no dedicated e85 map. When you want to switch between 91/93/99/101/stock/valet/max fan maps, it doesn’t require a reflash; you just need pull the cruise stalk toward you then push it forward at which point the RPM needle drops to 0 and you can pick the map you want using the cruise stalk up and down.

Thansk! Guess that means that a flex sensor is mandatory or otherwise you have to manually set the fuel to E85 if you go full E85?

If I remember correctly, if you don't have a flex fuel sensor, you'll have to manually set the E content level.

Easy enough. So you could put in full E85 and toggle to the 91 or 93 map, updating E content to E85 and you're set for full timing/etc accordingly.

Exactly and setting the e-content is as simple as connecting to the DS1 Wi-Fi and going to http://192.168.4.1/ in your browser.

Congrats on being one of the approx 120 who got a 2022. I traded my 2019 for a 2022. I'm green to DS1 and need to research it. I'd love to be able to run E85 once in a while but mainly run 93 tune for daily. I have Uni 1+ ECU, 2 TCU. I put in 2 gals of E85 and fill the rest with 12.5 93 and got 488hp/513tq on a Mustang AWD Dyno. I'm in a friendly competition with a college roomie that has a new Shelby 500GT Mustang...you know the one with no grip. I have to beat him.

Thank you, I gotta give you a big thank to you in particular for DMing me when the Unitronic tunes were made available for our cars. I flashed Stage 1 91 tune last week.
Went to the drag strip yesterday and I'm now doing 3.05 0-60, and 11.05s 1/4 @ 125mph - all of that on all season tires.

That's awesome numbers.....Do you guys have E85 out there? I don't want to go full E85 but a gal or two make it perform even better. I need to do a 1/4 run soon.....I have a draggy. Was the 3.05 the main number? What was the "1Ft" roll out? My 1Ft was 2.99.

Here are a couple time slips and Dragy screenshots from my latest runs: https://imgur.com/a/tLQlD0v/
Dragy and the slips seem to be slightly out of sync, but you get the idea. Also, that one run that I had a 3:05 0-60 I ran out of gas and lurched a bit further down the strip, so the 1/4 mile time isn't ideal.

As for gas, I've been putting in like a gallon or two of E85 from my local station in addition to 91. That said, I have done zero weight reduction, and am on all season tires.
