Very odd. If it's that wedged in, I doubt you can get it out by pulling. You'll want to make sure that piston is low in the cylinder and then have to punch it through into the cylinder and then lift it out through the spark plug hole would be my guess. I'd probably use a punch that's the diameter of the hole so it pushes the whole fragment, rather than a narrow punch that'll just break through the injector holes screen.
I'm assuming the hole the injector sits in is not tapered so that the fragment can pass into the cylinder. If it has to come out the way the rest of the injector came out, I think you're removing the head.
You might want to ask this in the B8 A4 forum. Lot of people with experience with the EA888 Gen2 engine there; don't know if they ever look at this forum.
