'23 RS5 Comp: Acceleration measurement missing?

I am not seeing the Acceleration Measurement option in the list of vehicle functions in the virtual cockpit of my '23 RS5.

I do see the following.
– Trip computer
– Sport displays
– Lap times
– Lap statistics
– Reduced Display

Per the manual it should be after Lap statistics in the list.
I am also assuming that I should have it since I have the Comp package.

Is it possible that its being hidden until the break in period is done? I assume not since the manual does not mention anything like that.

Did you try all the different modes? Maybe it’s only available in one of the RS modes? Just a guess.

You probably have to use OBD11 to add it (most in the US have to).

I just checked RS1 and RS2, both D and S variants and still nothing.
I guess I'll call the service department and see what they say.

after a quick search, only the launch edition rs5s had the acceleration measurement. no clue if that applies to the comp models though. if it turns out the comps don't have it, you can enable it via vcds or obd11.

Just got off the phone with the service department. They claim that it is being hidden until the 1000 mile break in is reached.
I'm not sure I buy that it's actually doing that, but it would make sense to do it since you would likely ignore the break in rules to use it.

I guess I'll find out in another 500 miles if the guy was right or not.

I just remembered that there is a Throttle House video on YT of the RS5 Comp and they used it. So mine should have it too. Service Dept said it's hidden until you reach the 1k break in miles. I guess I'll see if they are right or not in another 500 miles.

1k miles and the menu option didn’t magically show up.

I called the dealership again and they said they will have to research it.

Exactly. My Canadian B9.5 had the acceleration measurement "unlocked" from factory.

Good point. I'm hoping that is not the case. I'd rather have the dealership code it on instead of having to jump through all the hoops to get it done myself. I don't currently own an OBD11/VCDS tool nor do I know anyone with one. I guess an indy shop could possibly do it.

Maybe I'm just annoyed that something as simple as a glorified stop watch is not enabled on the variant of the car that should have it.

Really wish this could be unlocked on the B9 RS5
