Is Febi Bilstein a good brand for Wheel Bearings?

I purchased the kit from FCP, wondering if Febi Bilstein is well regarded as far as aftermarket "made in Germany" wheel bearings go

    What do you all think?

Sure, in the same way, a F. A. G. wheel bearing is. Same thing.

I've used both Febi and F.A.G. on previous cars with no issues. Both were good quality from my experience, and purchased through FCP.

Now Optima wheel bearings, I have no clue about, though about to install those on my b7. Didn't get them through FCP, so I'm somewhat apprehensive, haha.

What about Wheel Hubs? Is Febi Bilstein still good? I see selling the Febi branded hubs and F.A.G. wheel bearing as a kit

I went with this kit. No issues after about 5,000 miles.

Is Febi Bilstein a good brand for Wheel Bearings?

I know it's not Q5 related (B7 A4), but to give an update regarding the Optima bearing (was told they're the same as Optitec) I mentioned before: no good. Got around to press the bearing into the new hub, and the bearing began separating once I got it on straight and pinched the edges down BY HAND. Got more gap than a stock Q5, lol. Also, when I went to lift it off, bottom end of the bearing felt like it did the same.

Could be a fluke, but with the headache I've run into just trying to do what should be a simple job, taking it as a sign to stick to companies that haven't let me down.

Ordered new bearings through FCP, these are SKF brand. Sorry for the derailment, but hopefully bearing brand experience will be useful/on topic.Attachment 303204

Do you happen to have the link the link for the SKF branded bearing? All I could find was Genuine Audi and Febi. I received both Febi and Genuine Audi bearing and the Genuine Audi bearing clearly had quality control in mind with a better finish over the Febi

The SKF bearing is for my b7 a4, not Q5/SQ5, so it wouldn't be helpful for what you're looking for. I can still link it later if you'd like.

I haven't used SKF bearings before either, so can't speak to their quality, but my trust in using it is because it's through FCP. If they fail prematurely or I get a bad bearing, I at least know I'm taken care of through FCP based on past experiences and their warranty policy. It also helps I have my SQ5 as a second car in the meantime to get around.
