New member. Sold my 19 GLI and I'm looking for a used S3. Any advice would be appreciated. I have 3 that I'm interested in so far. One of them is a 2019 listed for $35k, with 29k miles, Navarra blue, virtual cockpit, B&O sound system, 18 in wheels. Vehicle history looks good. Its a 3 1/2 hour drive away. According to the website I was searching on, its been sitting at this dealership for 8 months. kind of a red flag there. Any ideas why they'd keep it around so long? Thoughts?

Guess you haven't seen loan interest rates lately and or are aware the used car market is not selling cars...never mind the fact they were buying cars for top dollar...and now they cant sell them...ask the dealership why they have had it for 8 months, Get its carfax!

Definitely get an S3 with the B&O Sound system. The base sound system sucks. For a car sitting for 8 months, that is a little crazy. MikTip is right with the interest rates being super high right now which will for sure slow the market down for cars. Definitely check the carfax, but go take it for a drive. Maybe the dealer drove/took ownership while it was in their possession for awhile. I always stick to one owner cars with a well serviced track record. I would also stay away from third party dealerships. Shady shit. But that is just me. I went from a GTI to an S3, so similar to you situation. It's a big upgrade that you will be super happy with. I recently bought a 2018 S3 fully loaded with everything! Cash!

7 speed, Virtual dash...24,000 miles on it.

Car sat for over a year at a Toyota dealership.

Bought the car sight unseen. Pics looked good.

Had it shipped to my door!

Perfect shape!



Then I installed APR springs and a set of nice wheels!

Threw away the OE brake pads! Installed Z23 pads all 4 corners!

Has APR Tune with DSG tune! Drives nice!

This is a 1 owner car, Carfax looks good. It's at a 3rd party dealer, though. But they have a lot of luxury/supercars for sale. I read through Google reviews for what they're worth. Lots of good reviews.

I loved my GLI. Didn't want to sell it, but I did and now I'm ready to upgrade.
