Post New Product - CETE Automotive Memory Modules

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
CETE Automotive has introduced some new memory modules that have the ability to memorize the drive select mode and/or stop/start assist setting on shutoff. The drive select memory is a great little addition for RS models which have the terrible design to drop out of RS modes to standard drive select modes when restarted.

CETE Drive Select Memory and Stop/Start Memory Modules
    • Complete Control of Drive Select Remains
    • Complete Control of Stop/Start Remains
    • No More Need to Reset to Your Desired Drive Select on Startup
    • No More Need to Reset to Your Desired SSA Setting on Startup
    • Module Remembers Last SSA Setting Whether On or Off
    • No Need for Any Additional Startup Steps for SSA Memory
    • Tapping of Wiring is Required
    • Long Press of Steering Wheel Mute Button - Module Turns On/Off
    • Startup - Drive Select Mode and SSA Remain from Last Shutdown

    Information:
With this CETE Automotive drive select memory module you will no longer have your drive select set back to Auto or out of your chosen drive select mode on every startup. Especially useful for RS owners that want the car to restart in their chosen RS mode. The RS1/2 mode must be set with the touchscreen for it to be memorized for the next startup. The SSA module memorizes your Stop/Start system setting so no more turning the SSA off on every startup if you dislike that feature. With the long press of a factory button you can turn the module(s) on or off. The full factory control systems stay intact and functional. Both modules can be installed into one vehicle to have both functions memorized.

    Ordering:
Modules are ready to ship now directly to your location. Ordering can be done directly through the link above which takes you to the Europrice website or with any authorized reseller. Shipping cost is not included in the product pricing and is calculated upon checkout depending on your location (you can estimate shipping by adding the product to your cart and viewing the car at any time). Tracking will be provided when module packages depart to each purchaser.

Instructions are available at the bottom of each CETE product page. You do need a Europrice account and to be logged in to see the documents.

Interesting device Alex! I have a few questions: In addition to the drive select mode functionality, can you confirm that the SSA disable feature works on the '23 S5 sportback, keeping the SSA in the same mode at startup as it was at shutdown, either on or off? My steering wheel's thumbwheel on the right side controls volume up and down by rotating it, and is pressed down to mute sound. Is it safe to assume that thumbwheel, when depressed, turns the CTEC module on and off, so the mute feature is no longer operable? Or is it simply a long press to control the CTEC and a brief press still controls the mute feature? Lastly, is any coding (e.g., VCDS) required in addition to the wire tapping? Thanks!

There are two separate modules for the B9.5 models like yours. The drive select memory module will remember the drive select mode selected on the touch screen on startup.

The stop/start module will work with the B9.5 model and it will remember the last state of the SSA system. So if you have SSA on when you shutdown the car the car will restart with SSA on. If you have the SSA off when you shutdown the car the SSA will be off when you restart the car and even repeatedly as the module remembers your preferred setting continually.

Both modules can be disabled entirely with a long press of a button. For the drive select memory module you hold the right roller button down (Mute) for 5-6 seconds. That will turn the module on and off. Your mute button remains functional just as it is now.

For the SSA memory module the stop/start button in the dashboard is held for 5-6 seconds turn the module on and off.

Turning either module off could be useful for when the car is going into service so the functions are complete factory spec.

Zero coding is required. Just pop the backseat up, which is surprisingly easy, and tap wiring at the CAN Gateway. The install instructions can be found on the product pages when you are logged into your Europrice account. So you can see how to install and turn the module(s) on/off.

Seeking feedback from anyone on this forum who has installed the CETE Start/Stop Memory Module on their B9 A5/S5/RS5? If so, how do you like it and how easy (or difficult) was the installation process? I'm tired of forgetting to turn off the feature after every start of the car and am seriously considering this option. Look forward to hearing feedback from those who have done the CETE start/stop module's installation and have experienced the joy of never having to deal with the engine shutting off autonomously, typically when you least expect it!

RS5's don't have SSA, at least mine doesn't, it's an 2019. And when I restart it remembers the last mode it was shut off on. Sounds like a nice product though.

S5 B9 project car has one and having the SSA off every time the car starts is great. Generally about 50% of the time one of us forgets to shut the SSA off and at the first stop light or at the most inopportune moments the engine will shut off leaving one of us scrambling to push the SSA button. Now, just startup, drive off, never think about the SSA at all.

    Cheers!
