My side-view mirror glass fell off, but did not break. Does anyone now how best to glue it back on? What kind of adhesive should be used?

Once upon a time in my B8 A4 days this happened and I caught the glass before it falling off while driving. IIRC, I used a marine JB weld or equivalent and never had a problem again.
