For anyone still interested, I've got a 2017 RS7 Performance, with the Titanium Akrapovic setup from the factory. The car is already stupid fast, but I miss being able to rev it out (6800 rpm right now, and hard time time shifts).

I purchased JHM's STAGE 1 + TCU tune 4.0TT RS7 package, so I'm curious to see what sort of performance gains there are considering the performance mode already has a slightly upgraded turbo (upgraded turbines), and already sits at 607hp with the enhanced OEM+ tune from Audi (560hp base RS7 vs 507HP on Performance rs7 model).

Much like their other tunes, I'd imagine Stage 1 alone (not Stage 2) will add:

    • ~50-70 hp
    • ~70lb ft
    • Redline 6800 to 7200 (weeeeeeee)
    • Better throttle response, though, the performance is VERY good already
    • Crisper shifts (not sure how they can get much better than it is now)

    I already ran a 3.2s 0-60, and car is in the low 11's, sooooooooo, I guess we'll se ;)

Winter still, and car needs to go to Audi for a few things, but I'll update everyone ASAP

    California RS7 seeking advice

ericw - came across your response to using JHM. I just bought a 2018 RS7 and was thinking about going down the JHM route. What caught my eye is that it appears as if you have been able to pass smog at Stage3 based on what's in your profile. I was just considering the JHM TCU/ECU tune, but holding off downpipes + new turbos specifically because of the smog issue (I'm in CA). That would change if I thought there was a path to passing smog in CA.

So if you are able to share, would love to understand what is possible on smog situation and a more aggressive tune. Tried to DM but your inbox is full

    Thanks

I've run APR, EPL, and my buddy has DS1's 91 octane OTS tune.
    • I'm almost a full second faster in the quarter mile over DS1's equivalent file.
    • I'm a few tenths faster than I was on APR.
    • EPL is a joke so not even worth talking about.
    • The best 0-60 I've achieved on 91 octane was with the JHM ECU+TCU tune.

I just sent you a PM. Didn't realize my inbox was full, AZ must have changed their limitations.

Because there's NO footage of any JHM Stage 2 RS7's on the YouTubez, a pal of mine shared this:
