    Hi,

I'm cleaning / organizing some parts. I found a brand new in box Hepu water pump that I don't need. I'm asking $50 shipped.

They changed the impeller on these pumps. Just did a timing job with the same kit from FCP - went from as above cast impeller to a bent steel impeller - i donno how to describe it. But the above is better than what you get from hepu today.

Yep I bought a HEPU one from FCP like 2 weeks ago and it had that bent metal impeller as well. Looks like crap. I'll try and get a photo to share.

Ross if you'll match FCP's price then I'll buy this one off you!

Here's the updated version you guys are talking about. I didn't like the look of this one either so I ordered another one but it came looking the exact same...

This new "bent metal" version is likely just less expensive to manufacture, since it doesn't require a casting like the old impeller. It has the same number of vanes oriented in the same direction. Considering the application, nothing about the design change would suggest it will be any less robust than the previous design (potential life expectancy of a part like this depends far more on the bearing behind the impeller than the impeller itself).

I wouldn't hesitate to use either design in my cars.
