2010 B8 Avant, NOT sport package, so basic suspension. What lowering springs works with oem shocks? Will it be to much for basic shocks? What additional things I should consider?IMG-20211102-WA0096.jpg

Hey, it's my car. :-) Except you get MMI 3G. :-P

I'd expect to be getting dampers matched with whatever springs you intend to use. The stock 1BA dampers are expecting a home position that's much higher than what "lowering" springs are going to sit at. And they are not going to necessarily have the damping profile necessary for springs that are going to have much less viable travel distance. I'd expect to replace the springs, dampers, and bump stops as a set.

There's quite a few peeps that don't like sport or sline springs and shocks. You could try to arrange a swap, even if it would be a difficult one, if you don't get hold of one that already has them off.

    Lowering spring help

You look like you are in a dry no winter weather location so getting the pinch bolt out for upper control arms should be doable, mine were a nightmare when I replaced springs and shocks on my 09 Avant. Went with S-Line sport springs and Bilstein sport shock and really liked it.
My son put Vogtland coilovers on his VW GTI, rode nice.
