Used a dremel for cutting, safety 3rd in most cases but wear eye protection and a mask cause cutting carbon is nasty. Here are some photos of the modification areas but they are all visible when you look at the product/mold the spots are there they just aren't done for you, I had a clean splash shield to compare with.

Front outer speed nut positions were recessed fine.

Front inner speed nut positions needed cuts.

Side speed nut position needs to be cut out and there is a plastic pin nut that can be recessed to insert the OE hardware piece.

Don't know if I needed to cut the entire strip at the back of the splash shield off but to match up with an OE one it would say cut it off.

Sides and rears were at most enlarging holes for fasteners.

So I ended up getting the Evolution Thor skidplate (b7 S4 model) and plan to have it fit on my RS4. I don't think the lack of ducting will cause any issues, as the aluminum will act like a big heatsink to cool air trapped in. That and, well I'm not planning on tracking or anything so. It's being delivered to the shop soon and should be able to report on fitment, etc. shortly afterwards.

Well it does not fit, very annoying. Going to get the basic OCT composite one.

Sorry for the late reply, there is no skid plate option for the RS4, none of the existing B7 S4/A4 models do fit. OCT is the only option at the moment.
You can use the discount code FROGRACING with OCT to get a discount from them.

I have detailed the install of the OCT front skid plate and full body kit in these videos:

And even more protection here if you want:

Note that the front support of the skid plate is still just plastic so don't hit hard at the front, it won't offer much protection. I am looking into building a little bull bar secured to the front bumper beam to offer some landing on the nose protection to save the front oil coolers.
