    Spoiler Alert: Literally

    Hi Kids,

After recently being creamed in my A7 Comp by someone who ran a red light, I purchased a beauty here on AZ. Love it and it's currently having phat stereo installed. One problem: I somehow must have exceeded 85 mph and when the rear spoiler deployed I got an error message on dash and the illuminated exclamation point. Yes, my first literal spoiler alert. Later, it took a couple of up and down attempts and a final push with my hand to get it to it's usual position. I'm not an engineer or physicist, but I rarely find mysely yearning for more downforce. It looks like the fuse is shared with the sunroof and after a forvm search, I couldn't find a VCDS tweak. Any way to simply disable it?

Without having an A7 locally I can look at... I'd say find in VCDS where it says rear spoiler installed and uncheck it. That will disable it without any errors.

Quick interweb search resulted: "To disable the spoiler, simply untick the box that says "rear spoiler installed" in the long coding helper in both module 17-instruments (byte 5 bit 1) and also in module 46-central conv. (byte 6 bit 7)."
