Larger Screen

Has anybody had any experience with the AutoTecPro screens, or any other larger displays? Wish the factory screens were a bit larger and sharper.

I haven't used that one but I did do the RSNaV 10.25" one in a 2014 S4. It worked really well.

I've been kicking around the idea of doing this one since I had good results with them in the past and I like how they tell you what actual Qualcomm chip is used.

The reason I was thinking about it is I miss having the jukebox feature that the B8 platform had for loading music and videos into it that the B9.5 doesn't have any more.

If you go look in the B8 A4,S4,A5,S5 forums you'll find threads on the RSNav. It was a really nice upgrade for that platform as it gave you carplay and AA.

Again, the only reason I'm thinking about it for the B9.5 is to have the option to load music into it rather than going through my phone or using a thumb drive stuck into the dash.
I didn't have any issues when it was in my 2014 S4. It's basically an Android tablet that still lets you have all the functions of the MMI with some extras.

i would love a larger screen without having to switch to an android unit. Wish someone would just make a larger screen that still runs the audi software as it comes from the factory

The FID screen is just a screen, not a tablet like the RSNAV. But with the switch to a touchscreen unit for MIB3 in the B9.5, changing it to a larger display that accepts simple LVDS is not as direct.

But what are we talking about here? MIB2 8.25" display screen or MIB3 10.1" touch screen? I think people have retrofit the 10.1" to MIB2 to get a larger screen; something about a scaler unit. It's in the other B9 forums.
