    Wheel Spacers

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi everyone! I recently converted my B9 Rs5 to stud and nuts for my aftermarket wheels. I purchased the wheel spacers from 034 Motorsports only to discover that the hub-centric spacers wouldn’t fit the aftermarket wheels properly. Problem being that the beveled edge doesn’t allow for the spacer to seat properly with the wheel hub.

I was considering to machine off the chamfer or the lip in its entirety. Any thoughts or other alternatives?

    Thanks!
    Don

Spacers really require a precision fit to avoid vibration. I would not, in any way, try to alter a spacer like that. Any reason in particular you switched to studs? What wheels, and what is the width and offset?

    Hi VVG,

I switched to studs for ease of install and aesthetics. The wheels are Vossen HF7 20x10.5. Looking to add 10mm spacing.

Looking at the 034 website for these spacers, it states: "034Motorsport's 10mm Wheel Spacer Pair is designed to fit most Audi & Volkswagen vehicles with a 66.5mm center bore and 5x112mm wheel bolt patterns. These wheel spacers are manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum with a black anodized finish and feature a few cool features you will appreciate if you have had experience with spacers before. Wheel spacers increase track width to improve handling, allow for more brake clearance, and help achieve the more flush wheel/tire fitment you desire for your car. NOTE: Hubcentric rings will not work with these spacers. Also, wheels must have a 6.25mm chamfer (minimum) on the center bore in order for these spacers to fit properly. Please measure your wheels prior to ordering. Outside edge of bore chamfer must be 79mm minimum. See product photo of back of wheel for reference (under main product image)."

Here's the product photo of the back of wheel for reference:

The bore dia matches, but the chamfer interferes. The spacers were purchased prior to wheels. So I was unable to verify the chamfer details on the wheel. Maybe Mops can recommend a spacer that will work with my setup.

Send over your shipping address. We have a really nice US made 10mm spacer I run with my Neuspeeds and Rotiforms. I'm betting they'll work. I'll send you one to test fit and we can order you a set if it works.

Mops, sorry to hijack, but I just purchased the RSE102’s from you. Should I be looking at spacers as well? Not looking to rub at all, but would prefer a flush look, if not just a bit inside.

    Thanks!

My opinion....don't go too flush unless you are going to lower. Wheel/tire flushness and ride height have to be in the right combination to really look good.

Couldn’t agree more, it’s gotta be low enough so if they poke it doesn’t look like a lifted jeep.

EXACTLY !!! People just don't think about this. Gotta lower if you really flush it out. Or keep a little tucked if staying stock ride height.

    Hey Bryan,

You might could fit 10mm, 5mm for sure. But I would mount them with the 275/35 and see how they position. We can for sure get you spacers and lugs if needed.

Get the spacers from Supreme Power, they dont have the tapered base so they fit both OEM and aftermarket wheels.
