I was hoping you will be able to assist me with my sunroof noise. I use my sunroof as much as I possibly can as I enjoy having all my windows down. Therefore it gets used and potentially something may be worn out hence the noise.
I am positive it is the sunroof as if I press up on it, while closed, the noise goes away. If I open/crack the sunroof, the noise goes away (or so small I cannot hear it). I typically only hear this noise rattle/creak below 40ish MPH because because of the difference in how the suspension reacts when travel slow vs fast.
I read there is adjustment screws in the sunroof, but I am unsure how to get to them. Mostly how to pull off the "accordion" without breaking it. Also, I am unsure if adjustment is a good thing as the sunroof does not leak. I was thinking if I adjust it upwards (mimicking me push up on the sunroof) that this may resolve my issue. What parts fail on these sunroofs? I have tried my best to look at the sunroof and guides to see if I see any witness marks or something that stands out but it looks fine to me. What have you done to fix your rattle coming from the sunroof?
