Does anyone have advice on the easiest method to remove this “S4” OE badge from my OE grille without breaking it? I recently purchased the gloss black badges.

It is a pain in the ass, you will dang near need to take the nose off to be able to work the tabs on the back and much less be able to reach them.

Properly pulling the bumper really only takes 20 minutes and our grill brackets are easily accessible from the rear.
Save yourself the headache of breaking something and do it right.

Google replacing the grill if you need help

I’ve Googled that, but I think it’s unnecessary to remove the grille for just the emblem. Couldn’t you remove the radiator cover between the front bumper and radiator support and reach down in?

That would probably take longer and get you more cut fingers than removing a total of what 10 torx under bolts and one at each wheel well and sliding the bumper back....

It's really easy to pop the B9 bumper

There are 10 bolts under the nose, 4 bolts in each fenderwell that need to be removed and then 2 fasteners behind the fender liner on side, then the nose will come off. So a total 22 fasteners that need to be removed along with the hood latch lever and the hood latch cover.

    So just an update.

If anyone wants to do this and change the color of their front S4 badge…DON’T REMOVE THE FRONT BUMPER.

It’s the easiest job. It literally takes 30 seconds. Pop off the radiator plastic cover in the engine bay, reach back in behind the grille and find the tab in the 1st photo. Pull up and slightly push forward and it pops right out.
