Wink B&O Speakers Intermittently Going Out

Hello my fellow Audi lovers! I have posted before regarding this issue, but the video I posted did not do that good of a job of giving a demo of the issue. This video has a much better example.

    Background:

I bought this car brand new in 2013 (Audi S5). About year ago, the driver's side door's midrange speaker was going in an out. I took the door apart and found that the midrange speaker was damaged. I ordered a new one and it works well, when it is not acting up or out. LOL

I learned that the tweeter in the Driver's Side of the dash goes out intermittently. I am hoping it is a loose cable/connector. It happens less often in the winter I have noticed. I had the original navigation system when I noticed the issue. I upgraded to RSNAV and the issue is still there.

I love music and love to bump my music. Sound going out is a EXTREMELY irritating.

Can you guys please check it out on my YouTube Channel?

I really have no idea, but I'd think it's one of 3 things---internally damaged speaker, loose connection, or the amplifier.

BTW, is that the 10" RSNAV? Or the 12"

RockJGC, Thank you very much for the insight. I thought it maybe a loose connection also, but did not think about the amplifier being faulty. Interesting....

I am assuming the car in your thumbnail is yours. She's sexy looking. I had a white A5 back in the day and loved the color. I have Volcano Red S5 and it took a while to get used to not having that bright sexy white color.

I am using the 12" version. I am thinking about making a video regarding the pros and cons of the RSNAV. It is mostly awesome. Do you have one?

If you like tech it is a great update to your car. If you like to hook up USB, Micro SD, SIM Cards, etc, that is when you start to run into the most problems with boot up times, glitches and ghost drives (they don't show up in the OS). Daniel (owner) is working on trying to fix those issues.

There have been a lot of issues with the B&O amplifiers failing in the past but of course I would check all of your connections and test the speakers first.

Yeah, thanks. I've always been a white car guy. I just never seem to get tired of the clean white look, especially with black accents. But yeah, I'm thinking of considering the RSNAV myself and I was sure that the 10" unit would be good for me, but your 12" version seems to fit pretty nicely.
