C7 S6 Fault Code P227900.

My check engine light came on. OBD11 shows a fault code P2279. There's also a loud whistle/ringing noise coming from the engine. After doing some research I'm 99% sure it's the PCV. I have an appointment in 4 days to get it checked out. Is it safe to drive for now or should I stop completely?

If you have the CEL - versus a failing PCV - I would not drive much at all.
