    Power Fold Mirror Fix

Trying the B7 section, since I'm sure more people have experience in here.

In my 2005 S4, the power fold mirrors don't work. The motors make noise, but the gears appear to be stripped or something.

Has anyone successfully performed a repair on these? I can't find a PN for a good price for an OEM repair, I even tried Seat Exeo PNs. I could probably grab a new set of motors from a parts car B7 A4 or something, but I'm more wondering if I can repair what I have.

    Thanks!

May be the gears and mirrors are out of sync. Is the stalk on door and mirror position the same? Not sure if the gears have full teeth.

yea try folding the mirrors manually. then in the car turn the button to the folded position and then back out, this usually resets them.
