    Question B9 A4 Non S-Line Diffusers

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,

I'm looking to add some flare to the rear end of my car. One of the options is to replace my rear diffuser on my non s-line B9 A4, but it looks like most options on the web are for the S-Line trim. How much difference is there between s-line diffuser vs non s-line? I'm really liking the look of the ECS rear diffuser but of course it's only for the s-line trims...

I am located in Canada, so it's probably harder for me to source parts.

    Thanks in advance!

Probably depends on if you are MY17/MY18 or MY19 or MY20+. MY19, all models used the B9.0 sport rear bumper cover. Just a different valence with either integrated exhaust openings (A standard) or openings for tail pipe tips (A s-line, S). MY17/MY18, the A standard used the standard bumper cover. MY20+, B9.5, the A standard again moved back to a separate standard bumper cover, but of course a different one from the B9.0 version.

But finding a B9.0 with the standard bumpers, at least in the US, would be rare. The only B9.0 A4 in the US without the sport bumpers was the MY17 A4 Premium (base trim). Thus little market for aftermarket parts for it.

The only thing I really notice visually between the B9.0 standard and sport bumpers is the standard has just a contoured indention between the reflectors while the sport has a decorative trim strip. And then the different spoilers. No idea if the spoilers are cross-compatible; Audi doesn't catalog them as such.

But it's interesting what google will find for you if you go searching:

    8W0 807 521 is the 2L standard bumper spoiler
    8W0 807 521 A is the 1L+1R standard bumper spoiler
    8W0 807 521 B is the 2L sport bumper spoiler (s-line)
    8W0 807 521 C is the 1L+1R sport bumper spoiler (s-line)
    8W0 807 521 D is the 2L+2R sport bumper spoiler (S model)

8W0 807 521 G (2L) and H (1+1) are for the standard bumper, but they are some kind of step up look, with an additional trim strip compared to no rev / A rev. You see that here, youtu.be/3ADuXjT-tOE?t=127, where there's the extra trim strip across the spoiler top, in chrome or black chrome.

I've got a 2018 model year, and after sifting through the part numbers you listed, it's hard to say if my diffuser is cross compatible with the s-line one .

Thank you for the information though!
