23 RS5: Dynamic Mode vs. RS 2 driving mode?

Hi all,I just picked up a 23 RS5. in the drive select, what is the diff between dynamic mode and the factory set RS 2 mode?

I see the red/white race track thing disappears when I switch from dynamic to RS 2, but is there any real difference?

Also, is there any setting where I can just always start my engine in RS 1 mode instead of it always starting in “auto” mode? Thanks!

RS2 is just everything in Dynamic, there isn't a separate mapping for it (since it's changeable anyways). The answer to starting in anything but Auto, the answer is no. You have to cycle to Dynamic/RS1/RS2.

Both RS1 and RS2 are configurable individual modes. They obviously have to be set with something from the factory, but they are meant to be changed. I have RS1 with the suspension in comfort and RS2 in auto. Most people find the suspension in dynamic to be undrivable in all but perfect conditions due to how bouncy it is. That being said, auto is fine even for very spirited driving.

Has this behavior changed between the B9 and B9.5? The B9 will restart in Dynamic, it just won't be in Sport, so all it takes is pulling the shift lever back once after a restart to restore all of the Dynamic behaviors.

Does the B9.5 actually return you to Auto upon restart, or is it just the absence of Sport mode?

Pretty sure it's the same as the B9 (I.e. starts back in whatever mode you left it in but reverts back to "D" transmission). I leave mine in Auto though and just use my RS1 and RS2 buttons to toggle between my presets (it's not any different than using the * button on the B9 configured to an Individual mode, except the RS button now has two options to individualize).
