    Two Recalls

I received a NHTSA recall letter last week for my 2019 A6. "Safety Recall 90V2- Gateway Control Module". NHTSA recall # 22V861. Basically they are putting a cover over a module unit under the rear seat.

When I checked AudiUSA website, it showed another open recall on the car from March 2022, fuel level sender. NHTSA recall # 22V155

Just called the local Audi dealer, they have parts for both, appointment made. I've not had issues with either, tho I found a thread on here where others have had issues with the fuel gauge not showing a full tank.

Anyone else receive these recall notices or have you had the repairs done?

I am surprised they said they have the parts for the fuel sender recall. I have an RS6 and was told “no fix available” just a few days ago.

I was a bit surprised as well. When I bought the car last year, this recall was on the CarFax, I checked then and was told no parts. Maybe they are slowly getting them? If they are just saying "no fix" and not "no parts", I listed the NHTSA recall number above. Give them that number or call Audi support and let them know a dealer is not performing a recall.

A6 and RS6 could very well be 2 different parts

Possible, however we took our A6 in for a headlight and got the gateway module knocked out while it was there. Still no parts for the fuel sender.

I've been rethinking the fuel level sender. Mine works fine, should I bother? Wonder if they have to do any programming to the ECU for the new sender, I have an APR tune (beyond warranty, so no issue), I don't want them messing with the ECU. Thoughts?

I am in the same boat, no issues with mine either and just did the ECU tune on my 2019 A7

My car is in for a few recall items. The dealer knows that I have an APR tune. They are calling Audi Monday morning to make sure that none of the recalls will mess with the tune.

Since my car is no longer under an Audi warranty, I told them as well. Was assured it would not affect the tune. I did decline having the fuel level sender replaced. That involves dropping the fuel tank. I have little faith in my local Audi dealer and didn't want that messed with. Mine is working fine, my gas gauge is accurate, why fix what is not broken. They must have notified Audi I didn't have it done, I got a new recall notice the next week. Whatever they did for the control module issue, they did mess with the ECU. Tune is still intact (easy way to verify without driving, auto start stop is disabled by the tune, indicator still showed off), but two features I enabled with my OBDEleven were no longer enabled, I had to hook it up and enable them again. I know a couple good indy shops in the area, I doubt I'll got back to the Audi dealer for service again, unless I buy a new one.

Got both done 2 weeks ago for my '19 A7. Just received another recall notice for backup cam.

I have both recalls. The Fuel Level Sender has been terrible to live with for over a year (since the recall started). The symptom is that every time I fill up, both the gauge and the miles to empty estimate are totally out of wack. The miles to empty shoots up to 550 miles and the gauge pins above Full then stays there for 1-200 miles. Then the miles to empty start randomly going up and down. At about 1/2 tank the gauge almost seems normal. Then the whole experience starts over at the next fill up. This plays havoc with my sense of relaxation when I'm driving 400 miles between Los Angeles and San Francisco looking for a pleasurable road trip.

My back up cam goes out a lot, figured water or something was on the lens. Will be looking for this one, hopefully for A6 as well.
