OK so I'm trying to figure out how to fix these misfires I changed all spark plugs and got 2 new coils from VW and used one original coil I had wen I changed the original to apr coils and the 4th coil is one of the no named brands from Amazon maybe that's the issue but it wouldn't throw off multiple coils would it ? I just recently did a stage 1 tune aswell. This is for a 2015 audi a3 1.8t Screenshot_20230204_065515_OBDeleven%20VAG.jpg

First don't buy coils from Amazon. Buy from reputable companies. Two don't be mix and matching 2 from Amazon, one from the previous time and one laying around... it's absurd.

This cars are notorious for misfires.
Brand new coils and brand new sparkplugs and like already mentioned make sure you have the proper gap in them.

Hate to say but i told you to get OEM ELDOR brand coils. You keep not taking advice and posting the problems you’re running into. I recommended you not to get APR or any 3rd party brand coils after you told me I work for APR remember? Lol. Best advice is to do a full set of OEM coils from your favorite online store, or go back to where you got the newer VW ones and complete your set.

The red tops are very common in the 2.0T world but for S3’s/RS’s ignition system, (with the additional ground bolt), there are NO AUDI OEM red tops available. I was also misled by an Amazon seller many years ago, I’ve run a total of 3 brands of red tops on an S3 and they all 3 caused the car to run worse, and misfire more than the old Bosch (i think) factory ones I was replacing to fix an annoying misfire. 2 of the sets of red tops the car could barely idle.

There are 2 brands that Audi installed, “Eldor” and another brand I can’t remember. I think it’s Bosch. Those are decent but you really want NGK/Brisk plugs + OEM coils. All red tops are knockoffs for the S3. As @Eli mentioned these cars are notorious for misfires. Gas quality is also a concern. I’m pretty OCD about having my shit running right so everything I’ve shared above has come from personal experimentation and logging on my own car.

Again, all red tops are bootleg for the S3

As others have said Do Not Mis-match coil packs … you’re asking for problems doing that … replace all four at the same time with OEM coil packs… plugs as as well… you may have a grounding issue.. if so I’d get the EQT ground strap and replace the problematic individual ground words at each coil pack. You can purchase this at link provided…you will need to verify your coil pack connector number prior to purchase. I had an intermittent misfire issue, this cleared up my misfire issue.

One other thing it could be is a fueling issue.. wouldn’t hurt to run good fuel injector cleaner through a tankful of premium gas (hopefully that’s all your running fuel-wise)

I think I found out why I'm having issues n misfires. So the tune I have was the only option for 1.8t right and said mk7 and everything but wat I didn't see was it's for a Quattro only NOT FWD so is that what the issue is and why wouldn't ie not know that as I've been insomuch w them and doing logs on the car trying yo figure out misfire and literally just saw that on their website. I'm already flashing it back to stock as we speaiScreenshot_20230205_145155_Chrome.jpg
