Our drop in intake filter is a direct replacement upgrade for the new 2.9T, 3.0T, and 4.0T SUV engines found in various Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche models! Our proprietary performance intake filter with uses a high flow cotton gauze filtration material and flow-bench optimized design that enhances airflow through the system and into the intake plenum. The filter flows up to 12% more than stock and sees reduced pressure drop at the same flow rates. This puts less strain on the turbochargers, and maximizes performance, all while sharpening throttle and turbocharger response.

The Design

The factory intake system utilizes a single or dual inlet design that feeds into an airbox placed under the intake filter cover which feeds into a multi part turbocharger plenum. Airflow is directed 180 degrees into turbo inlet adapters and turbochargers, depending on setup.

The intake filter was optimized on the flow bench to provide the maximum amount of flow while utilizing a filter media that provided adequate filtration and extended filter life. Through several design revisions verified on the flow bench, we increased CFM by up to 12% over stock! The overall shape and design of the filter looks similar to the factory unit, due to its location, but internally features several enhancements to provide increased airflow beyond changing filter media alone.

This filter is an excellent upgrade for someone looking to replace the factory unit. We suggest adding our full intake system for peak performance. Regardless, all of these enhancements result in an upgrade that's a good improvement over the factory unit. The 2.9T, 3.0T, and 4.0T engines share a beautiful engine cover platform that spans many makes and models across the Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, and VW line up. In most cases, the factory cover is somewhat bland, and not quite befitting to such amazing engines. It’s a lot for plastic and sound dampening material that takes away from the turbocharged fun your V6 or V8 engine produces. But not anymore. With an APR engine cover we’ll enhance not only the appearance of the engine bay, but the sound too!

Our carbon fiber engine cover is drop dead gorgeous. It’s a mixture of premium matte carbon fiber, mixed with gloss carbon fiber to give a two tone look that’s down right exotic. The overall profile matches the spirt of the factory Lamborghini cover to give it an OEM+ look that doesn’t appear gaudy or out of place. White highlights down the sides and a red stripe down the middle give it an extra pop that’s sure to turn heads, and the world renowned APR logo plate lets everyone know it’s a premium upgrade.
