I gave my car to my dad about a year ago and forgot to tell him to have the cam follower checked at oil changes. well, it failed significantly and there's a ton of metal in the cam, engine, etc. You can't see the cam follower, spring at all.
The mechanic wants $6k to fix it (replace the cam, hpfp, etc).
We need to get rid of the car. It has a bunch of mods. Anyone want it as a project? I don't know what it's worth (if anything), but we're up Westchester NY, and I'm happy to give it away for $500 (what we owe to the mechanic).
Let me know. I need to get it or if his shop in the next few days.
