I looked into TTE but very hesitant with the amount of turbo failures I've seen pop up within the past 2 years for anything above TTE-600.

I agree with you on TTE (theturboengeers). You are correct. Stay away from them.

But those offered to you are not TTE. Its 2.7TMotorsport chargers made by TTH (turbo-technic-hamburg) to our specifications.
These turbos are stout.

Not to be confused with TTE, they use china wheels.

TTH only use genuine BorgWarner wheels and are absolute top quality guaranteed. OE fitment aswell.

TTE turbochargers are backed up with a TTE TROUBLE-FREE Warranty for 1 year. Even if you drop a 10mm socket in one your covered.

That sounds quite a bit far fetched! I highly doubt TTE or any reputable turbo brand for that matter, would willingly replace their turbos for free under warranty from damage in such a manner. Most companies have more scrutiny for warranty claims and after an investigation where it's completely evident failure is due to owner or shop fault, especially in the case you stated, would certainly void the warranty. Which is also a far cry from the multiple instances I've seen where TTE refused to warranty their turbos from failure only 1-2 months after install from normal use. Even hearing multiple stories where TTE wouldn't warranty turbos directly after professional install due to "oil starvation" and blaming the issue on the customer's oil sump failing (which it wasn't, in multiple cases) makes me very hesitant to proceed with said company.

Well it is true.

1 YEAR TROUBLE FREE WARRANTY is now offered to cover even when there is oil starvation or not if the customer or internet thinks.

The TurboEngineers Trouble Free Warranty

Any turbocharger/s purchased via TTEGLOBAL.COM will receive a 1 Year Warranty of the original purchase date. If for any reason your turbocharger/s fails or has an issue you can return it to TheTurboEngineers for a free overhaul and recondition or replacement depending in availability or the turbocharger/s problem.

*terms & conditions are 1 year of the original purchase date and too the original purchaser.

Under the "Warranty" subsection:
"It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the products purchased from TTE Global are fitted correctly by an experienced professional and for their intended use, while using the correct associated hardware. Failure to follow these guidelines will void any warranty. TTE Global will not be responsible for any loss or damage."

Pretty clear statement there! I don't think dropping a 10mm socket into your turbo or inlet to get sucked into the turbo, constitutes as "correctly" or "intended" and would very likely void the warranty. You also have to send the "defect" item back first to be inspected for warranty, before rebuilt/replacement; in your case although extreme, inspection would show damage from foreign object introduced into turbo, and not a fault from assembly or manufacturer defect and surely void the warranty.

After the nightmare stories I've heard from TTE pushing back simple warranties that appear legitimate, or at least in cases far milder than destruction from a socket example, I'm not willing to take the risk of wasting my time and money buying two, having legitimate failure issues, then sending one/both back for them to turn around and erroneously void the warranty. I'll stick with Tial/XR or go with GT turbos.

The TurboEngineers Trouble Free Warranty

Sorry but this is incorrect info no matter what Mocke trys to tell the internet. TTH are using China and Malaysian components like TTE are in their turbochargers and B5 hybrids.

Just get the tials. Those rs6s turbos wont pack the same punch you are looking for with the tials. As much as those guys overbore the housings, they will still be limited.

I beg to differ. I tried my luck with TTE once and got absolutely burned.

I was one of the first if not the first to order the ‘all new’ at the time TTE880’s. After some delays my build was finally ready.

First pull on pump98 fuel wastegates locked at 30% very conservatively and my turbo’s blew up…catastrophically! Literally shattered in pieces. I have several photos to prove everything.

Setup was built professionally by a raceshop.

4000E+ down the drain.

Where is my warranty?

Well TTH are as are near all turbocharger company's and honestly quality of those far east parts are very good.

Sorry you had an issue i don't know the specifics on your case but we do sell thousands of trouble free turbos yearly. There can be issues in tuning and fitting aftermarket parts or OEM parts and it can be painful.. Ive had my fair share of b5 problems with over a decade of ownership so i totally get it. #b5life we used to say me and friends.

TheTurboEngineers Trouble Free Warranty was introduced this year to avoid issues and upset to a point for the customers no matter the reasons.

It has nothing to do with your 9 blade’s.
My turbochargers are specified and delivered by 2.7TMotorsport.
They are 12 blade BorgWarner made by TTH as you see in pictures.

These are your blown TTE880 with 9 blades.
I think anyone can see the difference.
