2012 Q7. Anyone know how to remove this? Mine broke

All the air vents have little holes towards the back that allow you to use a scribe or hook to pull with.

Mine is a 2015, so hope yours is same/similar.

Note when I did my passenger side vent it was the same setup, but man was it stuck in there good. I used two L shaped scribes to pull out trying to be VERY careful not to break any of the inside vent slats.

When I did my center console one of the vent slats did break...

Good info. My vent is broken already so one less thing to worry about at least. I bought the tools from that video on Amazon for $10.
