How to reset the 'Serive due' reminder?

The 'service due' reminder on the dash is being triggered by something.

I've reset the OCI and can't figure out what's triggering it when I start the car. In ODBeleven the 'SERVICE 1A' adaptation keeps getting flipped to '1' (service due). Any ideas what is triggering that?

I'd say use VCDS, it works. But OBDeleven should know how to do it correctly. One would think. So the question is more "why can't OBDeleven correctly reset the service inspection due alert". That I have no idea on.

If I had VCDS I'd use that, but as I have ODBeleven that's what I'm using.

It has reset it in the past, years ago, so I know it can do it. It can change any of the adaptations just like VCDS can.

OBDEleven has 'apps' which change a series of adaptations and cost a few 'credits'. There's an 'oil change reset' which I can do from my MMI so no point in using that app. There's an 'inspection due reset' app, but that isn't the message on the display.

If I can figure out what is triggering the 'service due' reminder then I can reset that ... I just don't know adaptation that is.

Inspection and service are the same thing in this context. There's only two reminders, the oil change reminder (anyone can reset that through the menu system) and the "service inspection" reminder (can only be reset by scan tool).

So you're resetting the adaptation for service due, but not resetting any of the triggers that trip the service due (mileage and days since last service). That's what the app does, all of the necessary adaptations as a group.

So the service reset app, it requires credits? That's a joke that they made a separate app for oil change reminder, and charge credits for that? Does the parking brake open/close app require credits too?

Thanks, using the OBDEleven app to reset the 'inspection due' message seems to have taken care of the 'service due' message. I with they'd use the same terminology to make things clearer, thanks! Also, it took an additional day (or drive cycle) before the message didn't show up - I suspect it needed to show > 0 days/cycles from some internal counter.

It's not a separate app. The OBDEleven app has functions within it called 'apps' which cost credits. Those internal 'apps' are created from other ODBEleven users. When I purchased the 'pro' version of ODBEleven it came and with 150 credits or so.

The parking brake open/close is an 'adaptation' and does not require credits.

The inspection due message is the only function I've needed to spend credits on, primarily because I can't figure out what the other triggers are that turn it on.

When I say app in context of OBDeleven, I'm talking about their one button apps in the program, not apps at the mobile device OS level. Adaptations and basic settings are only possible directly with the PRO subscription. EPB open/close is a basic setting.

When you look at the results for a B9 A4, the they are separated into four sections, and "service" is separate from "apps". So I assumed the service actions were free actions included with the base product and the apps were the credit paid customization actions included with the base product. But it sounds like the service actions are just apps, and require credits like all the non-service apps.

But looks like all service actions require credits as well: youtu.be/gFK__X6S2YQ?t=213
Wow. And they don't even have a battery adaptation workshop app. Curious that the A3 has a headlamp adjustment app; A4 doesn't list one (headlamp range adjust is a basic setting).
