So you're resetting the adaptation for service due, but not resetting any of the triggers that trip the service due (mileage and days since last service). That's what the app does, all of the necessary adaptations as a group.
Thanks, using the OBDEleven app to reset the 'inspection due' message seems to have taken care of the 'service due' message. I with they'd use the same terminology to make things clearer, thanks! Also, it took an additional day (or drive cycle) before the message didn't show up - I suspect it needed to show > 0 days/cycles from some internal counter.

It's not a separate app. The OBDEleven app has functions within it called 'apps' which cost credits. Those internal 'apps' are created from other ODBEleven users. When I purchased the 'pro' version of ODBEleven it came and with 150 credits or so.
The parking brake open/close is an 'adaptation' and does not require credits.
The inspection due message is the only function I've needed to spend credits on, primarily because I can't figure out what the other triggers are that turn it on.
