Hi, my auto dimming mirror with the compass is completely dead. I've checked fuses and replaced with a known good part without any success. The dealer couldn't help with a wiring diagram, does anyone know which module it connects to? I believe this is also the cause of my headlight switch not working the way its supposed to. Thank you

I *think* it’s the body control module
I'm still listening for that rattle!
If it rattles, it's because I baby it.

I had a look at wiring schematics for my car which is RHD (might be different for LHD as in opposite sides but maybe not... needs physical checking) and this is what i found:

'Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror' (Y7) has 2 wires running to it through the 17-pin ORANGE connector in the right (passenger side in LHD) lower footwell, pin 16 = purple wire, pin 17 = purple + black wire. Both these wires then go through the 20-pin black connecter at the right front door hinge (that goes to the front right door control module), pin 9 = purple wire, pin 19 = purple + black wire... which connect to the right front door control module (j387).

from there i know that the door control modules functions are controlled by the comfort convenience module (j393) which is under the carpet of the left front seat (at least in RHD cars anyway).

Hope that helps , good luck!

I appreciate the help, once it warms up I'll be digging through the harness and modules to figure this out. I got some funky electrical issues and need to give the whole harness a good once-over.
