Drivers side engine wiring harness question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey gang, just put in a used motor into s4. Either I was too many beers in or simply went blank when disconnectin the engine wiring harness. Coming off the driver side ignition coil wire, I wire leads to a/c and Engine mount, a separate wire leads to one other thing. Any help, please!

18, 23, 24, 31, whichever it looks like review the uses for that plug

Not camshaft. Maybe I will try to explaining it better. So left side harness wires after the coils plugged in, on same harness. It splits off, one set of wires going to mass air on S/C, and the other to cam pos sensor. Other set of wires off the coils goes to AC, then one to motor mount. Then their is a long from the same harness that goes to bottom of motor. 3 pin facing upwards. Help. Unfortunately, the schematics sent earlier are not for this car.

The picture in the link is the harness, I'd work from that picture to identify the plug.

    Grommet 13 >
one plug 26 connects to the injectors harness >
one plug 28 3-pin to the left bank knock sensor >
    two plug 31 2-pin protruding center >
three plug 34 to the coils and one plug 23 3-pin opposite them >
two plug 18 2-pin, one to the A/C, one to motor mount? >
long run (the 41 section to the injectors does not exist on this harness; they are run by a separate harness off plug 26) >
one plug 24, either 3-pin to the oil level sensor or 2-pin to the intake manifold flap actuator >
    one plug 23 3-pin

But notice the part list says plug 19 should be the 2-pin orange plugs for the motor mounts, and plug 19 would be the black/violet 2-pin to the steering rack servotronic. Maybe one of the pair of 18s should been marked 19, as we only see one 19 on the diagram?

So if plug 24 and plug 23 are at the end of a long run that took them to the bottom of the engine, I'd guess 24 is the 3-pin plug to the oil level sensor on the bottom of the oil pan. Then 23, from the listed applications, would likely be the engine speed sensor.

Asked before and got "please I don't really want to be helped" response. What's the engine code? How about a picture? Are you working from having a harness plug you don't know where to put, or a device plug you don't know where the harness plug is for? Why do you claim it's "facing upward"?

Any pics? Is that b8 or b8.5? I know that b8.5 has a vacuum solenoid for the water pump, though I’m not sure how the wiring is routed to it, I have a b8 which doesn’t have vacuum controller water pump shutoff
P.S. read that it’s a b8, so may not be that plug. Pics would help though
