Itching to do something to my 21 SQ5 but it comes pretty great looking standard. Any subtle exterior/interior mods I can do to get the itch off?

I got the hard paneled Audi logo windshield cover and that took the edge off for a few months haha.

Audi rings puddle lights. I got the inexpensive ones so the image is not as crisp as the ones from Audi.

I would assume the plate delete is the best bang for the buck in terms of looking more sleek. of course it comes with the risk of hassle from police if you live in a state that requires a front plate.

Plate deleted. I haven't gotten a ticket in 25 years for no front plate. Crosses fingers lol

Wheel spacers are probably the best value mod for an exterior upgrade.

I'm looking forward to leaving Texas soon. I hate the front plate, but have been ticketed twice before. I have the worst luck.

While I dig the look I've had issues in the past with minute vibrations etc from spacers. Kinda want to keep the wheels and suspension stock till the warranty and CPO expire.

? I see about an equal amount of cars with and without plates. YMMV but I don’t even think about not having a front plate. Hell when I bought the car a front plate bracket had never been affixed to it.

Black badges or de badge the car. Lowering links if you have sport suspension. What a great mod!

Ok I’ve read about these. What do they do than lower your car and wreck the ride? Possibly void the warranty?

Well for the pre facelift B9s, paint match vinyl for the side markers is a super easy and cheap way to make the front end look super clean. I suppose B9.5 facelift models could go with the e-code Euro lights for the same effect (losing the amber), but that's just quite a bit more coin.

Not sure about warranty but mine rides great. It’s also adjustable to your desired amount of lowering. I went about 1 1/2” lower. So in each seating it’s that much lower. I’d I’m on bad roads I go to comfort and it’s very smooth. In dynamic it handles more like a sports sedan. Love it!

I bet. I thought about trying my hand in vinyl wrapping but that grill looks daunting! Everything else seems pretty straightforward.

Got tired of the fake chrome exhaust tips. Had the local exhaust geeks relocate the exhaust valve, paint the heat shields black, and weld on some matte black quad exhaust tips for about 1/3 the price of the Audi black sport exhaust tips. Had to tweak the photo settings so you can see them against the black valance, so I think that counts as “subtle”

I kinda dig the fake exhaust tips. After years of having to clean them on my previous 3.0T, I like the hands off approach haha. Yours look good though.

I totally get why some people like them and why Audi put them on from the factory. Thankfully they also designed the fake tips to be easily removed and replaced with real tips for those who prefer those instead. I will say the matte black does an excellent job of hiding any carbon/dirt.

    In the past I always purchased paint-matched reflectors, however, for my wife's 2021 TT I decided to just wrap it with a color-matched vinyl wrap and it was a very close match;

    https://flic.kr/p/2mLrxdX

The TT is being traded in soon for a 2023 SQ5, and the benefit of the wrap is that it peeled off quickly after applying a little heat. It was much easier to return it back to "stock" vs. prying out the reflector and swapping them.

Totally agree and for the longest time I just left them black and sooty as they kinda looked like they were supposed to be that way from the factory.
