    Hey guys,

My A6 competition just passed 5 years and 50k miles.

This community has been very helpful in terms of my learning the Audi platform, and I thank you!!

This car has been modified (sound system, transmission, trans mounts and Stage 2 tune). I’ve done nearly all maintenance myself and have only experienced one “repair”. A stupid trim piece in the trunk “gutter” or drain path broke and Audi would not pay for the $30 part. Dealer installed w/o charge.

While my wife has had new cars over the years this was my first new car purchase since graduating some 30 years ago.

I’ve been completely satisfied and am planning to keep this car another 5 or more years.

All that said, my insurance company is paying for new back seats, new trunk interior, trim insulation, etc.

"Somebody" spilled two oil changes in my trunk - what a mess - despite having safely transported use oil, trans fluid, brake fluid and coolant for recycling for years. Besides that, this car has been a dream. And, that was clearly not the fault of the car.

I previously had a few BMWs and spent a ton of time on the track. The tuned A6 isn’t the animal a tuned 335 might be, but it’s bigger, quieter, doesn’t rattle, is extremely fast and more pleasurable to drive with up to 4 passengers, plus driver!

Thanks for all advice and comments for 5 years and another 5 to come ahead.

Please do tell what logic or arguments you used to get the ins co to cover this. In this day and age of them playing nickel and dime with us for honest structural repairs after a crash, this is a real bright star of hope!

    Cheers,

He had an oil spill, which was accidental, covered under comprehensive coverage.

BINGO. Apparently, when a dumbass spills oil in the trunk it’s covered under comprehensive. Zero deductible.

Yes... I remember reading about the spill and you checking about ins coverage. Couldn't imagine them saying yes... and I mean this with respect.... because I have never seen an Ins Co cover stupid... and I have asked more than once!

That's a good carrier. Can you share the name because I might be changing!!

    Cheers!
