    Do the previous gen OEM midpipes fit the 8y rs3? I noticed some other manufacturers are running the same midpipes from previous gens. Just wanted to confirm.

    Yes the previous generation 8V RS3 midpipes are interchangeable to the 8Y RS3.

    Yes OEM and aftermarket fit, OEM 8V part numbers 8S0254502A & 8S0254503A.

    I just installed it, it fits fine - just a heads up it's pretty subtle unless you romp on it. Even then... So if you're thinking this will be enough and are an 'exhaust' person, it won't be enough lol. It sounds neat, and I feel the value is there for a couple hundred, but I'm getting an exhaust later this year, if that tells you anything.

    I switched my 034motorsports mid pipes from my 2018 8V and they got perfectly on my 2023. It took me 30-40 minutes on a lift. No fitment issues, big difference on the mid pipes and my car even had the sport exhaust which makes absolutely no difference on the new 8Y.
    8V RS3 [email protected] mph (ran a few 11.7s stock and ran 118+mph several times)
    8Y RS3 k&N filter ran [email protected] (ran 11.6 5 times and trapped 120+ several times)
    at 3100ft elevation

    I have 8v Uni catted downpipe with uni catless mid pipes on my 8Y. They both fit perfect. Its still pretty quiet but sounds better in dynamic or when you are getting on it.

    I imagine it would be a greater difference for people that didn't get the sport exhaust?

    Would certainly be, and I don't hate it, it's just subtle. So if you're looking for a large change of sound, this may disappoint, but if you are just looking for a bit more grumble and some more bite when wide open throttle, this fits the bill.
