TCU tune and shift rpm wobble

I am contemplating a tcu tune. I was looking for some feedback from users if it cured the rpm wobble after shifts. I see it in many videos and my car does it as well. Especially into third and fifth. What I’m describing is you hear the dsg fart then after shift it wobbles up about two hundred rpm then back down. I’m specifically looking into 034 tune but not totally opposed to apr or IE. has the tcu tunes fixed this for any of you?

The 034 tune did fix it for me, for a while. Now the transmission goes between normal operation and hard 2/4/6, flared 3/5/7 shifts every week or so. Car can be shifting perfect, stop for gas, and immediately it's back to the weird shifting regime. It's weird as hell, and adaption resets etc. don't make any difference. It just "cures" itself over 2-3 days, works great, then does it again a week or two later. Maybe moreso when the weather is cold.

Mine is definitely worse when cold as well. I’ve seen many say it happens on the odd gears only. This is my case as well

My odd gears flare, and the even gears shift with 0 torque cut, just like max acceleration mode when you use launch control.

To clarify, after 034 all of my problems went away for about a year, and then it started doing this weird thing every week or two. I would still buy 034 again, and although the issue is annoying, I have doubts that its related to their tune in any way.

I don't have the symptoms described by OP, but recently had diagnosed a loud noise when in R (DSG). Dealership applied an adaptation and updated the trans software version from 0006 to 0012 and that fixed the noise problem completely.
At the same time, the shifting map changed slightly and now is somewhere in between previous D mode (I use Auto for trans, Comfort for Steering) and Dynamic, or Sport. Much more aggressive, while shifting is still smooth.
What I'd do is first make sure the trans has the latest software and then think about additional tuning.

Transmission adaptation when optimal temperature is reached and 034 transmission billet aluminium mount was a MUST for me.

Sorry for the double reply but have you changed your transmission oil, filter and gaskets? I had a similar problem because I didn’t had any free time and took my car to a mechanic to change my transmission oil and he just dipped it and change the filter, without waiting the TCU to heat up and without moving from R,D,N,S and the car started making loud noises only when its cold outside, but everything seemed to be OK, so first of all I did an adaptation which fixed the problem, bought the 034 ecu & tcu tune and the 034 billet aluminium tcu mount because after the files I got a “drivetrain lash” after 2nd and 3rd gear mostly but was also present from time to time after 1st and 2nd so I had to change my oil again aaand that fixed my issue, I just had to change my oil properly, and thats why I almost do everything I can alone now…
