B7 Avant owners - lift gate rubber bump stop replacement

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Double posted in B7 sub but not many B7 avants running around these days. Hoping someone here has some ideas.

Any Avant owners know if the hatch bump stops from a C6 Avant or the newer A7/Q models will work on a B7? The rubber on mine are disintegrating and the part (8E9-827-249) is NLA from Audi.

I am also in search of the Lift-Gate Bump Stop for the B7 Avant.

    Asymptotically approaching unobtanium…

Audi stopped stocking about 3 years back. Price was ~$90 at the time. Scoffed at the price at the time and have regretted not getting them after being discontinued.

Happy to purchase one of the others to see if it works.

^^thanks - that might be it, but the rubber coating on it looks pretty beat so could shortly crumble like mine. If international shipping wasn’t so high I might gamble. Going to try one of the C6 ones first to see if it could work.

There are some available in UAE

Cost is good. Shipping is not. Shipping remained the same with larger quantities.

Happy to bulk order if interested to help with shipping costs

I have a B7 avant with the same problem. Couldn't find 8E9827249 for sale anywhere.

Drew some covers up in CAD that go over the stock (metal) piece. All I had to do was:

    1. Remove the remaining rubber

    2. Place the 3D printed part over

    3. Done!

PM me if you want the file. Or I can ship a set to you if you pay for shipping.

Unable to see the pic for the end result, can you share the file for 3d print, please

Hi, I'd be very keen to buy a pair of these. I don't have a 3D printer so I would need them posted to me in Australia. Could you do this? Obviously happy to pay inc postage. Thanks
