Airbag light on after removing interior trim

Hey, i just took of the silver trim of on the doors, over the glove box, and took of the silver trim which goes around the screen (with harzard button and airbag off indicator).

I disconnected the cable from the hazard to take out the trim to wrap, but when i plugged it back in and started, the airbag light in the instrument cluster startet showing. When i start the car all the lights show, then turn off (including the airbag) but then after all of them turn off the airbag turns on again and stays on.

    Please help!

Just clear it with VCDS. I'm sure you just tripped the light.

If it comes back after clearing THEN troubleshoot.

If you take that hazard switch out again make sure you don't turn anything on, including accidentally hitting an MMI button and turning on the screen.

    !!SOLUTION!!

I went to my uncles Tire shop, where they also tune cars. They plugged in to the car (idk what connector, but where you usually tune cars) and he removed it with a program.
It was just a "notification" that something has happened to the airbag (it was still active). So it was not dangerous. Took 2 minutes to remove.

    Good job

This is common for people who mess with their dash or seats. The truck is to not cycle the MMI while you have anything airbag related unplugged.
