Anyone know how much quicker (if any) the B6S4 or B7S4 steering rack is compared to base B7 servotronic rack? Thank you.

The s4/rs4 has a slightly quicker ratio. By how much, I can't rem. Was looking around when I replaced my rack, but wound up just getting standard replacement.

They do have a "quicker" ratio. Less turns from lock to lock. Thats what ive read, unless it was bad info..

I do have an RS4 rack/642 in mine, it is so unnoticeable in my opinion for quickness, however the effort and response you get is

*I can add about how many degrees/turns full lock is after work

See, what ive read, is what you mention. But also that s4/rs4 are both 14.5:1, and a b5 rs4 was 13:1. Thats why so much confusion.

Alright so for me, one direction is 1 1/4 turn, so 2 1/2 total lock to lock.

Same as vce though, original leaked and scored a deal. 4 years so far, and I want to say I checked it when installed to confirm it was an RS4 rack.

It’s odd because my a4b7 has much tighter steering than my a4b6 yet they’re both supposed to be 16.3:1

I should sit in both and do a turn to lock comparison.

Your B7 is servtronic - so depending on the relay it may actually be 'tighter' at times.

Along with the rack itself you also have to run the proper relays to get the most out of the mod.
