    How long does it take to do a timing belt job on the V6 engines and also what tools are needed?
    Current: 01 A4QM avant daily driver.


    Past: 92 ABZ 100CSQM avant, 97 A6Q avant, 93 S4, 95.5 avant, 93 S4, 91 10vt CQ, 98.5 SC'd & IC'd A4QM sedan.

    It takes about 4-5 hours for someone who's done it before. For specialty tools you will need the cam locking bar and the lock pin to do the job and the Bentley manual or instructions so you have something to follow. For the first timer, I’d do it over a weekend. Don’t rush.
